James and Teresa Shackelford embark on leading the Stone to Flesh Twin Cities Hub with nearly 20+ years of ministry experience between them and a heart for seeing God powerfully transform people’s lives. Married in 2009, the two have pursued a missional call to revitalize the Church that has taken them around the country and blessed them with amazing spiritual mentors along the way.

Four years with Neal Lozano’s community (Heart of the Father/Unbound) laid their foundation for ministry, and the Lozano’s mentorship opened their eyes to the importance of community and Jesus’ incredible healing power. James and Teresa then joined Encounter Ministries (Brighton, MI) and experienced first-hand God’s tremendous desire to move in and through the lives of His people.

James is currently the Director of Ongoing Formation and Discipleship at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Wayzata, where he is working to see the Holy Spirit set people on fire and transform parish life. He holds a BA from the University of Minnesota, majoring in Early Christianity, Ancient Greek, and Art History, and is in the final stages of completing two PhDs from the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in Patristic Christianity, Liturgy, and Early Christian Art and Architecture.

Teresa is a nationally recognized worship leader, speaker, and recording artist. Her life in ministry began as a NET missionary, and she has since led worship and spoken at national events like the Encounter Conference, NCYC, and Heart of the Father’s Unbound Leadership Conference, as well as diocesan and parish events across the country. Teresa served as Encounter Ministries’ Director of Worship before returning to Minnesota and her most recent album, Faithful, earned recognition by the industry publication New Release Today.

Together, James and Teresa delight in walking with people as they encounter Christ, embrace his healing love, and become the fullness of who He created them to be. Stone to Flesh has been a pivotal part of their own journey and they are excited to share its riches with the Twin Cities community.

After the free trial is over, and you decide to join as a student, you will be asked to apply and pay the registration fee $25 and after being accepted, pay for the time you have already attended.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

1. The application fee is $25 per person. It is non-refundable and non­transferrable. After applying you will be contacted within 48 hours to schedule a live or Skype qualification conversation.

2. You will receive a link for two references which you will send to two non-family members.

3. The cost of SOTH is $900. You will receive a link with instructions to set your nine monthly payments: $100 per person, $150 per married couple. 10% discounts apply to undergrad students. Each monthly installment has to be paid by the 1st of each month. Additionally, you will participate in the fall retreat, and Alpha weekend in the spring, for which you need to pay separately. 4. An E-mail with confirmation of finalizing your application will be sent to your e-mail account. You will receive a proposed date for an in-person or online interview.

5. After receiving your Application and References, you will be informed within a week about your acceptance or decline to the SOTH. If accepted, you will receive:

   • An agreement form with your commitment to be signed on the 1st day of the SOTH

   • An invite to the online Classroom with payment link and instructions, announcements, calendar, all resources needed.

We consider only those applicants who have the desire to follow Jesus and are ready to make sacrifices in altering their schedules and priorities to make a personal and financial commitment during Oct 2022 - May 2023 of dedicated training, equipping and ministry.
